Overall Satisfaction with Articulate 360

Articulate 360 is great for on demand and virtual/remote learning opportunities. It provides consistency with how learning is delivered and managed. It also provides break time during ILT experiences to leverage self-paced learning.

Pros

  • Great flexibility in developing creative learning solutions / gamifiction opportunities.
  • Rise is quick to develop and designed well to chunk learning topics - really like the pre-curated video options.
  • Articulate Support has been helpful with answering questions and eLearning Heroes is a great community for discovering new ways to build learning solutions.
  • Really love Review360 - assigning reviewers and timelines are really easy. I'd love to be able to copy and paste items from my "clipboard" in the comments instead of saving every screenshot when referring to sections of my training.

Cons

  • Articulate 360's "trigger" functionality could be a little bit more intuitive - with so many features and functions, it can be difficult to identify if a trigger matches what the developer is trying to do systematically, even with the drop-down system. It becomes difficult when sharing/collaborating Storyline files with other team members to see how the scenes are intended to operate at a glance from the trigger panel.
  • Quizzes can be difficult to develop when not using an Articulate 360 template. Customization is great, but when building from scratch, a new person may find it difficult to know that a results slide needs to be added - for example. If there were certain settings that were automatically in place based on what you're trying to build, that would be great.
  • Sometimes embedding a link or web object doesn't work. Menus can look a little cluttered, design-wise or difficult to locate. Maybe a "search" function within the system might be helpful if you're working on finding something in particular. Or a "I want to..."
  • Routine monthly "newsletter" formatted content was great for quick development and communication efforts across operational teams via Rise.
Rise - my preference for training development. Clean design, simple to use, fast to learn, enjoyed by employees, easy to collab with other teams
Review - See previous comments.
Articulate 360 - more involved courses
Really prefer rise - Articulate 360 has so much capability that I think there might be more opportunities to clean how they are organized
iSpring, I believe, was inspired by Articulate 360 upon their first launch. Triggers were intuitive to use and easily captured PowerPoint animations and triggers when importing them into the system.
