Overall Satisfaction with Ascentis

Ascentis is our HR system--applicant tracking, learning management, performance management, payroll, and HRIS.
  • Learning management has an extensive course catalog
  • HRIS interface
  • LMS management is not intuitive and is clunky
  • Too much reliance on support to do basic things in recruiting that admins should be able to do. Example: In the ATS, you can't even delete email templates, look up an applicant's username/help them reset their username/password, etc.
  • Unreliable, slow response from support
  • Streamline recruiting/onboarding
I've used multiple other applicant tracking systems. The overall ATS Ascentis offers isn't terrible and is very user friendly. It is the small everyday things that cause the most frustration. Having to reach out to support for seemingly small things that we should be able to do as an admin user, but instead have to constantly reach out and wait on support to fix/solve is frustrating. Even things as simple as modifying or deleting email templates.
Many times we have extended wait times for support or aren't able to get the help we need.

While it is super user-friendly in some areas, some others are not very intuitive at all and seem clunky and require many duplicate steps.
It is a good value, well suited for smaller companies. It's nice to have all the different components in one system. It would not be a good software for a larger company.
