Overall Satisfaction with Assembla

Since in our company, we are using both Git, and Perforce we have chosen Assembla to be our multi-repository source code management platform specialized in cloud-based version control services. It serves as a centralized management tool for the source code of our agile code projects allowing us to manage several projects at once quickly.
  • Well designed real time reporting and auditing.
  • Scanning for secret key credentials and vulnerable component dependencies automatically.
  • User interface could be made a bit more intuitive.
  • Pricing levels could be made more flexible.
  • Thanks to easy integration with Jira, it has saved us time and administrative headaches.
  • Seamless new team members onboarding increased our on-time delivery levels.
Assembla stands out when it comes to managing substantial digital, agile projects, especially when working with people remotely. It also provides a custom private cloud solution in case your company has to tighten your security measures. It might be a bit pricey if compared with other vendors, but gives enormous amounts of flexibility.
We are pleased with the support provided by the Assembla team. The response was always rapid and to the point. They are using a ticketing system which seems to be very efficient. They helped us a lot when we encountered some serious problems when doing integration with our internal document management system.

Would you buy Assembla again?

Yes

Assembla brings ease of deployment and delivers high performance, fully managed source control solutions even for massive, enterprise projects. It will work exceptionally well if your company requires integration with your own private cloud. For smaller projects, it is probably better to go for a simpler and cheaper tool where less configuration is needed.
