Overall Satisfaction with Automox

We leverage Automox for several primary use cases: Patching all endpoints, including 3rd party software Patching all on-premises servers, including 3rd party software Deploying software to endpoints Deploying configuration changes to endpoints and servers Automox is used to manage several thousand endpoints and servers. Automox replaces other products we had been previously using with a more efficient and effective solution.
  • Automox deployment was very smooth with plenty of upfront planning, pilot testing, and go-live assistance.
  • Automox Support has been very helpful, working directly with us to create and validate scripting and providing best-practice guidance when needed.
  • Automox results have been solid across the board. Whenever there is a gap in deployment it's invariably tracked back to an uncooperative endpoint.
  • The Automox community is helpful but could benefit from broader participation. Like any user-driven community, it hinges on active customer participation and contributions.
  • Ease of use/administration
  • Cost effective replacement for older, less flexible solutions
  • Automox as-a-Service is consistent with our strategy to remove on-premises dependencies and limit infrastructure for delivering commodity services.
  • The immediate benefit of reduced administrative overhead compared to the legacy system(s) in use
  • Near-immediate benefit in labor relief. We invested time up front to configure, test, and deploy. After 1 month we're now realizing continuous returns on level-of-effort for both deploying patches and software as well as greatly reduced remediation effort due to superior results overall.
All of the products we looked at in this space have very similar capabilities. Oftentimes it's not IF the product does something but HOW it's done. Automox had, for our purposes, a superior administrative interface and a more highly engaged Pre-deployment, Deployment, and Support showing. We were confident in Automox's ability to engage in pre and post-deployment support and hand-hold us through any issues or questions we may encounter and they haven't disappointed thus far.

Automox is aimed squarely at customers looking for the low administrative overhead associated with managing a system like this. As a hosted system utilizing an agent, it's adept at managing systems outside the virtual four walls of your network which is crucial in today's highly mobile, flexible location workforce. Scripting abilities of Automox can effectively displace certain use-cases normally reserved for Group Policy but there are still some cases where GPO is a better or more appropriate fit at this time.
