Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I am currently implementing Avalara in a service industry. The implementation has had some hiccups because there were certain NetSuite set up requirements that were not made known during our initial review of software vendors.

We are still in process of integrating. The project started several months ago.

Usability

I believe that Avalara should not charge for estimations. However, if our customers decides to make a purchase, the transaction would count as two transactions, one when the customer initially inquires, and again when the customer completes the transaction.

We are in the process of implementing the Avalara Returns module.

Alternatives Considered

Vertex

It isn't really comparable because when I implemented Vertex, I only had one operating system to connect to, but in my current position, I have multiple OS's to build APIs for.

Likelihood to Recommend

I would like to see more category codes related to the service industry, specifically in the administrative area.
