Overall Satisfaction with Avalara
We sell product all over the world and have nexus in 35 states as of January 1. We have hundreds of customers and constantly deal with sales tax and compliance. My role consists of being the point person for all things sales tax, including consulting our customers on the specific laws and regulations. Additionally, I research the compliance requirements for each state in which we collect tax in so that we have the correct documentation on file to protect our company as well as our customer.

Fairly difficult for some as specific codes needed to be written to work with the architecture of our company and how the fulfillments are processed.

Absolutely our company has benefited. We have thousands of sales tax certificates and it would be virtually impossible to manually keep track of all of them and stay compliant. Additionally, we have Avalara prepare and file our returns, saving us many hours and we are never late to file, saving money in fees and interest.
