- Lack of follow up support is discouraging
- Ease of use is definitely the upside.
- None. Ended up implementing a different tax engine due to lack of follow up and support.
- We continue to use some parts of AvaTax and TTR research
I was not part of the integration in my current company, but implemented Avalara about 5 years ago with a renewable energy company. Since the industry was so new there were no "categories" and everything was a custom rule, which was challenging and the support team gave up.
- Professional Services (nexus studies, registrations, backfiling, etc.)
We do not use any other of Avalara services.
Easier to use, but since our compliance is outsourced, we went with the same software that our consultants are using.
