Overall Satisfaction with AWS Cloud9

Cloud9 is an IDE in the cloud that allows us to work in groups online, share code and edit it in real time with other colleagues. In addition to its interface is very easy to use. It supports a large number of languages and even can compile code from the browser. It is very useful for web development and for application development. In our company, it is implemented in multiple departments, for development, optimization, testing, etc. It is a very useful tool that speeds up the production and the way in which the project can be transferred from one department to another.
  • Compile code in the browser.
  • To be able to use an IDE for different languages without having to install anything.
  • To be able to code with colleagues in real time.
  • It integrates very well with other AWS tools, which allows us to streamline and work online with colleagues.
  • It is a fairly complete IDE in which you can perform the same tasks as in a desktop IDE, the only thing I feel they can improve is the number of shortcuts key to work faster. For example, it does not have a shortcut to be able to press the RUN button without moving the mouse.
  • Needs more support for various plugins.
  • It is a tool that has allowed us to optimize the life cycle of the projects since it is excellent for this because you can share code from one department to another quickly.
  • It allows to always be able to access the code from any device, at any time.
  • Save time in the installation of an IDE, plugins, compilers, etc.
  • It is ideal to use with other AWS tools since they have a great synergy, like CodeBuild, CodeCommit, CodeStar, etc.
The biggest advantage of AWS Cloud9 is that it does not need installation. Besides that, it can be used from the browser and compile without the need to install plugins for the most used language. Additionally, you can also share code in real time, in addition to using AWS for development of different projects is an essential tool.
AWS CodePipeline, AWS Lambda, Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2)
AWS Cloud9 is an ideal IDE to work as a team from any device with internet to share code, make queries, quickly complete code, perform tests, etc. It is not recommended for areas where the internet connection is deficient, intermittent or null, or when you need to implement many frameworks at the same time.
