Overall Satisfaction with AWS Storage Gateway
We use SG to take in all sorts of information from trusted and public sources. SG allows us to have a single ping of entry rather than supporting multiple services. This has really simplified our process and allowed us to focus on other more important issues within our organization.
- Easy to deploy: Setting the solution up took much less time than anticipated.
- AWS management Console facilitates monitoring: This allowed us to ditch a home baked solution in lieu this great tool!
- Secure data transfer: Easily passing our company audits and standards for security.
- VM integration
- Expensive Gateway pricing: This can be pricy but worth in the long run.
- Security
- S3 File Gateway
- Accessibility of data in Cloud: Previously it was difficult to access our stored data.
- Cheaper storage as opposed to physical: At this point have saved enough money (when compared to physical storage)
- One con is the scope of services included with some features. You aye only need 10% of what's there's but paying for the other 90% you don't use cam be costly.
