Overall Satisfaction with Backblaze

Backblaze and Backblaze B2 are the cheapest backup solution for any MSP looking to do backups on endpoints that contain no medical or other sensitive data that require server-side encryption. It is so extremely cheap that most of your clients won't even believe the prices you can charge per TB even if you put a 1000% markup.
  • The largest opportunity for a profit margin for MSP since it's so cheap
  • Lots of software partners
  • Not enough hardware NAS partners
  • Poor website interface
  • Better white-label billing would be nice
  • Cheapest backup solution.
  • Lots of software that you can white-label to sell Backblaze i.e. CloudBerry.
  • Native NAS partners like Q-Nap and Synology.
The only bad thing about Backblaze B2 is that to use it to its full ability, you need a third party to truly get any use out of it and its cheap price because they don't have their own software. Now, on the desktop endpoint back-up for non-B2 storage, they have a fantastic client with unlimited back-ups that is only $6 per month.
Every time I have reached out for tech support from Backblaze it has been slim to none response on getting help. They also take a while to reach back out over email. That is one thing that could really improve for BackBlaze. But for the price, can you really expect them to have a ton of support options?
It is the cheapest storage option, but it doesn't have disaster recovery like the other options on the market have. Also, you can't spin up and use the data live like you can on AWS Cloud, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Storage to use in the production of a product.
It is suited best when you have lots of endpoints that don't contain sensitive client data or financial data that need server-side encryption and encryption during the transport of the data. The software is not HIPAA compliant. It really shines when the client has many hundreds of gigabytes of data to backup.
