Overall Satisfaction with Backblaze

Backblaze is being used as a cloud backup location to integrate with our Cloudberry and Synology backup products. It's helped us provide more efficient backups at a substantially reduced cost compared to other providers. It's one of our core sales products and is used across the company in sales.
  • Simple and vast storage options.
  • The ability to create essentially unlimited buckets to separate backup locations between clients.
  • Some of the ways pricing is determined can be confusing.
  • No ability to use 2FA with a physical key, such as Yubikey.
  • It allowed us to offer a much cheaper backup option without having to compromise the efficiency or quality of the product.
  • Provided an offering for clients that are hesitant to spend a lot of money on their DRBC plans.
Backblaze B2 offers very similar service as these providers, but at a much better price per GB. I've been able to vastly provide better and more cost-effective service in regards to my backup offerings because of B2 storage. It's a fantastic service with an insane price point that just works.
I've never had cause to use customer support, but I suppose that means they have good customer support. The product works as advertised and I've yet to have a reason to contact them for anything.

Do you think Backblaze Business Backup delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Backblaze Business Backup's feature set?

Yes

Did Backblaze Business Backup live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Backblaze Business Backup go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Backblaze Business Backup again?

Yes

Backblaze B2 is perfectly suited for backups for smaller clients. It's a great product and very cost-effective when paired with another endpoint solution, but with it comes more management and more risk. The burden of testing and support is on the user and not on the cloud provider, unlike a more expensive cloud backup location.
