Overall Satisfaction with Backblaze
I am a solopreneur using Backblaze as my offsite backup.
- Invisible operation.
- Reliable and simple file recovery.
- Helpful configuration options.
- Excellent security options.
- The online interface for Backblaze used to be a bit clunky, but it's smoother now. Can't come up with any missing or deficient feature for my needs.
- Offsite storage accessible from anywhere.
- Strong security.
- No perceived interference with normal computer use.
- Any backup application is like an insurance policy. Barring a disaster, you shouldn't need it. I sleep better at night knowing that my online "life" will be preserved even if my home office burns down.
I actually use BOTH Time Machine and Backblaze, for belt-and-suspenders backup redundancy. If my house burns down (along with my computer and external Time Machine backup drive), Backblaze has my back. If Backblaze vanishes for some reason, I have my Time Machine backup.
