Overall Satisfaction with BigCommerce
BigCommerce is where all of our sales go through. We used to run off of 100% phone-based sales but wanted to differ from this, so we created our site on Big Commerce. We picked them due to functionality (having wholesale and retail pricing) and platform pricing. We have been very happy with the results of BigCommerce so far and run 100% of our sales through the platform.
- User-friendly to create a website.
- Always updating to keep up with the newest technology.
- Great customer service - if anything goes wrong they fix it fast.
- There are some small details I wish were different. This includes organizing checkout.
- Optimizing address entry.
- Better sales analysis.
- They have a great list of apps, but I wish some basic things were built-in vs getting a 3rd party app.
- Streamlined ordering.
- Great ordering based off customer group for various situations.
- Easy to order for customers!

We used a third-party theme advertised on their site. We contacted the designer and they made unique changes to help our store and customer experience. Being able to use a pre-designed theme and hire the designer to make the changes was very cost-effective and fast. Saved us tens of thousands vs a fully custom theme from scratch.
In Magento, you had to create a theme from scratch and they told me that would be 30K average to start which was way out of our budget. I really liked Shopify's site and features but they were twice the price when compared to BigCommerce and I didn't think the extra features were worth the extra money.
