Overall Satisfaction with Oracle CX Sales (formerly Oracle Engagement Cloud and Oracle Sales Cloud)

  • Streamline quotes.
  • Provide online repository of standartized quotes.
  • Allows transparancy.
  • Product too rigid, too many areas are not flexible enough.
  • Access rights management difficult to maintain and just not supported in too many areas (reporting, part search).
  • Lacking testing / debugging / configuration management tools.
  • Support and responsiveness poor.
  • If you are not in the mainstream of the product roadmap, usage or improvement roadmap cannot be seen.
  • ROI almost impossible to present.
  • The change management and resistance are HUGE. High management involvement and assistance are key for success.
  • Little technical skills are required to develop and maintain the solution.

The CPQ market is wide and rich. Once a solution is selected, implemented and adopted, there is a great challenge to switch from one solution to another. SaaS providers are also taking advantage of this in the renewal / expansion negotiation.
