Overall Satisfaction with Blackbaud Education Management Solutions

We use it in Admissions and also throughout the school as our platform for faculty, students and parents. In admissions, it is the platform we use for the entire application process and we also send out grades to students and all messaging to parents. The faculty uses it for all of their planning purposes.

  • This is an easy to navigate platform for applicant parents.
  • This is wonderful for reporting purposes for our admissions process.
  • Parents can easily navigate the portal for their children's schedules, etc.
  • There was recently a decision to do away with worklists and now it is very difficult to run many of the basic lists that I used to run.
  • Reporting needs to be more robust with more fields able to be added so that emails can easily be accessed for each parent.
  • It has been very positive.
  • It would be nice if we could integrate Magnus Health with our onboard portal.

We do not use this portal for communicating with applicant families, it isn't as useful or easy to track as email.
We have benefitted from this, we have used Raisers's Edge NXT and it does integrate with Financial Edge NXT and has helped our communication and also balancing our books with our donations and bank accounts.
I use chat all the time and I always get a great deal of help. I find that everyone I've chatted with have been very friendly, responsive and helpful. Also, when they don't have the answer, they will always follow up.
I like it very much, I find it to be very user friendly, but I am very upset that the worklists were taken away. The most easy and basic lists are now impossible to run and I can't for the life of me understand why they were taken away. The candidate lists don't allow so many of the options that worklists offered.
We do use it at my school, but I don't personally use it.
It's well suited for the applicant portal but could use some improvement on the reporting side. It is also well suited for the parents to access their kids' information and the kids like it okay for their access. I have heard that the faculty would like some improvements so that they can post more things on their pages.
