Overall Satisfaction with Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT

Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT is our organization's primary module for donor development. We use it to record and track donations from individuals and organizations, but also to record information on our constituents, manage events and plan workflow for our strategic development plan. Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT specifically allows our users to access the donor database easily from any computer or phone, and to manage thousands of current and potential supporters. Its ability to record notes, actions, and organization-specific attributes mean that we can properly segment, solicit and steward our community, increasing our fundraising capability.

We are able to more easily determine who are lapsing and lapsed donors are, what specific segments of our donor base need more or less attention and how location plays into our giving. Additionally, it has allowed us to analyze and remove inactive or unlikely donors from our process so that we can more quickly focus on or identify quality targets.
  • Online Training
Blackbaud University provides numerous training modules in general or specific areas, that are both engaging and thorough. Their trainers are experts at the systems they use and clear in their instructions. Training opportunities are held consistently throughout the year and at convenient times and are long enough to offer impactful knowledge, but short enough that they are not onerous.
Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT is a much more thorough system than Blackbaud eTapestry and offers more possibilities for your donor database. The variety of modules available allows you to tailor your package to your organization's needs. OneCause is great for auctions and other events, but not as useful as a day-to-day CRM, though it integrates well with Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT.

Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT is well suited for major gifts work, where you are assigning regular actions to a donor, or to annual fund work where you are using mass appeals to drive many gifts. It is less appropriate as a volunteer management tool, where you do not have fundraising expectations of your constituents.
