Overall Satisfaction with Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT

We use Raiser's Edge NXT as a donor management tool within our small foundation. This told helps us track constituent interactions and donations. We have about 3,000 donors.
  • Tracking various donations though funds, appeals and campaigns.
  • Automating pledges is not user-friendly - you have to manually run reports and apply donations to pledge payments.
  • You still have to use the 1990s-looking backend of the software when using Raiser's Edge NXT.
  • Creating and saving letters from the database is not user friendly.
  • Automation of anything possible
  • Ease of creating and tracking donation acknowledgement letters and receipts.

  • We have not saved time or money by using Blackbaud's Raiser Edge.
We are not able to use the additional insights because too much energy is spent trying to simply get the data in the system and do the most basic tasks.
  • Online Training
Very poor. They did not have our database ready so that we could train on our live database. Instead, we trained on a perfectly assembled example of a database. When our database went live, it was nothing like what they trained us on. There was a language barrier between the trainer and us, which made it very difficult to learn from the trainer. It was a trainwreck.
Bloomerang is much more user-friendly and intuitive. We switched back to Bloomerang.

This software is not intuitive. It does not work well for small organizations, especially. As a team of two people, we do not have the manpower or time to manually do all the tasks we want our database to do automatically. Even for a large organization, this software is not user-friendly or intuitive.
