Overall Satisfaction with Blackboard Collaborate
We have used Blackboard Collaborate for classroom meetings and various meetings.
- Teal time communication with students.
- Sessions with students or in meetings can pass documents if needed in real time.
- Can share not only my desktop but an internet link if needed.
- Sometimes the settings seem a little complex for instructors. There have been vast improvements over the last year in this regard, but I lost some of my instructors due to the setup issues and now have to coax them back in. Making the setup as seamless as possible is very important when trying to get adoption from faculty members.
- Though we have not been faced with an emergency yet, the return on investment we hope will be if we ever for some reason need to hold all classes online, for example in the case of natural disaster. We envision an ability to incorporate all classes into our LMS and get instructors to then activate Blackboard Collaborate to hold class times.
