Overall Satisfaction with Bluebeam Revu
Our entire organization now uses Bluebeam. The product does a lot more than Adobe and is much easier to use. It is used to update PDF documents for construction submittals, compare documents, drawing revisions, hyperlinking, and many other [things]. Some teams use the image recognition for estimating and drawing a comparison for takeoff a when changes are issued.
- Drawing hyperliking to actual drawing callout areas.
- Stamping for submittal review.
- Marking up PDF documents and updating text.
- Connecting to sharepoint sites.
- Connecting with Procore for ease of opening PDF files.
- Integration of photos on top of other documents.
- I always have confusion how to get out of presentation mode back to normal mode.
- Better JavaScript creation for stamping.
- The online instructions are good but would like more advanced instructions.
- Licensing is more cost effective than Adobe.
- Training had been fairly easy due to the online manuals and videos. Fairly intuitive program for most.
- I do not see any negative implications for using this software. It has become one of our standards.
Much easier to use hands down. Adobe is confusing and has provided minimal support for issues I needed. Bleabeam seems to offer all support required vs. adobe.

- Viewing PDF documents
- Combining or removing pages of documents, such as, putting a requisition together.
- Adding hyperlinks on drawing sets.
- Add My stamps with JavaScript. A change in the system update as altered the way this was done in the past.
Not Sure - It has one with the iPad but on with iPhone. The Revu app works fairly well but I still prefer the PC version of the software.
