Overall Satisfaction with BlueJeans
We use BlueJeans for both one-one communication and group meetings internally. Additionally, we use this for conference calls with investors and customers all over the world. Everyone at our company uses BlueJeans, but our Executive team and Sales teams are the heaviest users. This tool allows us to communicate more efficiently (email is slow) and create a more interpersonal atmosphere at a company where many of us are remote.
Pros
- I notifies me clearly when someone new joins a call and who that person is. This is key because we are sometimes discussing sensitive information and you have to know who is on the call.
- It is consistent and there is no downtime. This is key since we rely on the BlueJeans to do business.
Cons
- I think it should be a bit easier to onboard new people. Our customers often have trouble using BlueJeans for the first time.
- In group settings, it should be easier to mute the group. Sometimes when we present, there is background noise and we just want to turn it off.
- Less money spent on travel.
- More personal connection among remote employees.
I've used Zoom before. The interface is a bit more modern, but I don't think there is any functionality that is better than BlueJeans. Also, we have relied quite heavily in the past on Google Hangouts. Lots of great functionality here, but the best thing about Google is that you can see who is online when you video chat them.
