Overall Satisfaction with BoardPro
It is being used by 3 Boards and 2 sub-committees across the group. The following functions offered by BoardPro are now considered fundamental to keeping on top of the group's busy meeting schedule and keeping Board members in touch and engaged between meetings: setting agendas, distributing Board packs, updating papers online, ability to annotate papers, writing well-structured minutes, distribution and approval of minutes, Flying Minutes for decisions between scheduled Board meetings, Interests Register, Decisions Register, ability to search previous meetings' documents, actions and action reminders, and more. All this is even more essential as we have moved to working online so much more during COVID-19.
- Agenda-setting and writing minutes is very easy with the built-in structure offered
- Compiling and distributing Board packs with BoardPro takes a fraction of the time it used to - and updates to papers are so much easier
- Ability to hold all governance documents in one central repository is useful for external Directors
- Directors find the Board paper annotation feature very useful. New updates to this have made it an extremely powerful tool.
- Flying Minutes feature is very useful for obtaining formal decisions between meetings and then automatically adding them to the next set of minutes.
- The ability for Directors to update their own interests in the Interests Register is efficient and puts the responsibility on them to ensure this is up to date - this is automatically included in each Board pack.
- The actions feature is fantastic - allocating a person responsible and an action deadline which then is followed up by BoardPro email reminders keeps people on tasks and allows the Chair to stay on top of actions as they are reported in the Board packs each meeting.
- One feature which I believe is being worked on is the ability to allocate an action to more than one Board member, so everyone gets a reminder if it's a group action.
- BoardPro are incredibly responsive to feedback and have continually enhanced their product over the years I've been using it and will no doubt continue to do so.

- As Board Secretary I do not have 'hard numbers' but certainly the organisations I support have received a much better service from me and more value for money as a result of the efficiencies that BoardPro offers.

I looked at both of these products and preferred the BoardPro UI - my decision to go with this product was also based on recommendation from Board Members who had used it elsewhere. Since using it on one Board, I have purchased a licence for it on behalf of two more organisations.
