Overall Satisfaction with Box

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Box is used across the organization. The primary business problem it addresses is enabling teams to share information across the organization while maintaining security for items shared. Box is relatively easy to use and set up for the end-user. Despite that ease, coming from a world where I leveraged Dropbox the user experience did not feel as good.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Simplifies storage for enterprises concerned about security
Provides a backup in the cloud for users that regularly leverage Box
Facilitates cross-functional team work

Cons

User experience would be my primary call out. I did not have to think twice with Dropbox. Switching over still took me a bit more work.
Making it more intuitive to leverage Box in my day-to-day work (e.g. Do I attach the file or send a Box link?)

As an end-user (not the decision maker), I have had a good experience overall with this product.

Likelihood to Recommend

If security is a concern, Box is a very good choice. Key questions you should know are: How important is security? Have a key understanding on how your users want to work and if this fits the majority of their day-to-day.
