Overall Satisfaction with Box

As the editor of a blog with 500,000+ views per month and a team of several freelance writers (who submit both articles and photos), file-sharing is important. Box makes it easy to collaborate with these writers on the cloud and doesn't take up much of my valuable time. The writers simply share a link and I'm able to download files without having to depend on spotty email file sharing or waiting on lengthy load times. Box is a great resource for my department.
  • Easy to use.
  • Convenient.
  • Direct download link would be appreciated.
  • Reduce number of clicks.
  • Low investment.
  • Time savings.

Do you think Box delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Box's feature set?

Yes

Did Box live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Box go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Box again?

Yes

Box is compatible with other cloud-based storage solutions like Dropbox or Google Drive. While the latter is probably the most customizable, user-friendly and widely adopted, Box and Dropbox are fantastic alternatives for companies that shy away from the Google suite of products. I would use any of these solutions for file sharing.
Box is well-suited for situations like mine, where you're dealing with a team of remote freelancers. Box is ideal for remote teams or anywhere where teams aren't working directly together in the same office. It's also ideal for companies dealing with digital files. It may not be appropriate for teams that require close collaboration or those that deal with physical files, however.

Box Support

I haven't had to use the support features for Box or reach out to customer service, so that may tell you something about how reliable the tool is. I've used Box for several years and haven't had to reach out, though I do know some who have had to request help for permissioning.
