Overall Satisfaction with Box

Honestly, all of my experience with Box has been client-side, which I still think is a valuable experience to review. For over a decade, companies have been using Box to send us files to download for entertainment review purposes. It aids in securely getting files to us to be used on a professional level. It's a relatively easy service for us to use as well.
  • Presents data clearly for us to access
  • Organizes it for ease of use
  • Can store data for long-term access
  • A login banner alert covers the download button each time, which makes it easy to miss
  • More options for downloading / storing like Dropbox has
  • Add checkboxes next to individual files for selecting just a few files
  • Downloading the files
  • Transferring files
  • File previews
  • Keeps costs down
  • Ease of use
  • Reliable transfer of information and data
Again, all of my experience with Box has been client-side. For over a decade, companies have been using Box to send us files to download for entertainment review purposes. I also use Dropbox regularly (and have an account with them) and I prefer them over Box, but both services are very good.

Do you think Box delivers good value for the price?

Not sure

Are you happy with Box's feature set?

Yes

Did Box live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Box go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Box again?

Yes

While it's a useful tool, I don't see it used in the entertainment field quite as often as Dropbox, and I wouldn't say it's a better service. Also, the fact that they share such similar names, it's really easy to mix the two up. I do find them both vital tools for media use, however.

A specific scenario in which it's best suited for use is a temporary transfer of media files from a group or organization to a client for, in our case, review purposes (like music). We use it regularly and are thankful for it.
