Overall Satisfaction with Buffer
Buffer is a tool used by our digital marketing team. Over the years, depending on the ebb and flow of our client’s needs, we have used Buffer to plan and schedule social media posts.
When we manage social for many clients, it becomes a much more necessary tool. However, when we only have a few running social, we have found it easier to post on the fly and work outside of buffer.
- Plan and cross post social ideas across multiple platforms
- Schedule content to release in advance
- Change preview text and images on platforms — especially Facebook
- It would be nice if the content calendar planning was more in depth
- Better collaboration for approvals and feedback
- AI insights and reporting
- Early on we saved time, but after awhile it became more cumbersome because the posts would not deliver to platforms properly
Initially we selected Buffer because it is an effective tool for a low cost, especially compared to Sprout Social.
It’s pared down and doesn’t have as many bells and whistles but that is nice when you want to simply accomplish posting.
We like Airtable for the customizable content calendar options though and ultimately switched to that.
