Overall Satisfaction with Calendly

A team of support and sales folks used Calendly to schedule meetings with customers and prospects. We mostly used this as a proactive tool for scheduling: in canned emails (or email replies) the team sent links to their Calendly accounts so people could schedule time on their calendar. The tool helped the team prevent back and forth communications to find an available time to meet. Some sort of scheduling tool like this is necessary for any phone-based sales or support role!
  • Connect to your calendar to accurately reflect free and blocked times on your schedule.
  • Customize event types and the ability to offer specific settings for different event needs.
  • Calendly offers some features that are only available when you upgrade. I'd love to see a broader freemium model.
  • There aren't other relevant cons - Calendly met all my needs for a team of 180+ sales and support reps.
  • Saves time by preventing back and forth scheduling conversations.
  • Prevents confusion with time zones because Calendly shows time zones relevant to each user.
Calendly is a bit easier to use. It is also significantly more aesthetically pleasing in its UI.
Their Help Center solved all of my needs and answered my questions without me needing to ever contact their Support team.

Appropriate:
  • If you have a live sales and support team that offers phone/video calls, this is an excellent solution.
Not appropriate:
  • If your team cannot afford the premium features, there are alternative apps that offer similar functionality.
  • You likely do not need a calendar integration if your Support/Sales team works via live chat or email only.
