We use Canopy as a client database to keep virtual files. This enables us to work remotely. Over time we have expanded our use to include resolution, transcripts, notices. Virtually everything except practice management.
- Good file management
- The portal system works well, even for tech challenged clients
- The client survey is a fast, painless way to prepare financial statements.
- The transcript system is down more than it's up
- The portal can be daunting for some users
- It is difficult to interface with joint returns
- The cost-benefit ratio is rapidly becoming negative as more functions are added that don't seem to work very well.
