Overall Satisfaction with Ceridian Dayforce

Our company uses Ceridian Dayforce for all payroll and human resources functions. Our old system was very manual and used paper timesheets. Dayforce has eliminated paper and streamlined the process. We have a few kinks, but the system has helped and I am looking forward to becoming an expert user. I recommend Dayforce!
Follow-up review: Now been using Dayforce for over two years. I am much more proficient. I can mostly figure out issues on my own, but their support is GREAT!!

Absolutely helps with all tax issues, Dayforce knows what local taxes an employee must pay and adds them to their record. Automatically calculates overtime. If an employee earns compensatory time, it is calculated automatically and added to the employee's available balance. An employee's benefits eligibility is presented to them during onboarding, so they know all the options.
Sorry this is not my area
The impact to me has been tremendous. It has streamlined time reporting, benefit and entitlement balances are clear to employees and they have real-time information readily available. Employees are now able to view their pay information easily and can print their own paystubs. Dayforce has been a real timesaver for payroll and HR. We previously used Jenzabar EX and evaluated Paycor and ADP before selecting Dayforce.

Dayforce is great for time tracking. The workflows get really involved and are sometimes hard to follow. Dayforce is very good at handling garnishments and child support. I really like that Dayforce pays the taxes for customers and handles all quarterly and annual tax reporting.
Dayforce is excellent for employees to enter time away requests. We used to have to manually enter requests from paper.

Using Ceridian Dayforce

300 - Accounting, plant, registrar, faculty, instructional
5 - Need experience with computers. Also need extensive Dayforce training. Most of this should be able to be done remotely.

  • Real-time pay and time away balance information
  • We are able to upload some pay information from spreadsheets. Did not expect that.
  • Dayforce automatically keeps track of comp time when employees work over 40 hours per week. This helps manager greatly.
  • Hope to have managers submit employees evaluations; we have not yet done that with Dayforce.
Dayforce is working well and it is really want to keep it. And changing is just a lot of work

I have had good experiences with support. One time I needed help on commit day. I submitted an urgent ticket and barely had time to get coffee before they were on the phone. They understood my problem, knew the answer and helped me fix it and commit payroll on time.

I was ready to commit payroll. When I tried to approve and commit the batches in Pay Admin checklist, I got an error. I had no idea what it meant. I submitted an urgent ticket. The agent called extremely fast, gave me the answer, helped me correct the problem. And payroll was committed on time and correct!!
