Overall Satisfaction with Ceridian Dayforce

We made the switch from Ultimate Software to Ceridian Dayforce for our organization. We use Dayforce to process and maintain all our employee records, payroll, recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and benefits management. We chose Dayforce because of its time and attendance - scheduling feature and because it is a single platform.
  • It is a single platform for all its modules
  • "Conversations" in performance management are user-friendly and provide a venue for real-time feedback
  • Scheduling and labor cost analysis is a nice feature
  • Report writing is a little challenging to create reports
  • Copy and pasting text when creating job postings doesn't always carry over formatting
  • I recommend a "Home Page" that allows for organizational announcements that can be shared to all or filtered employees (ie., birthdays, special events, company wide updates, etc)
  • We had direct cost savings due to the time and attendance - scheduling features because we were able to visually see what the labor cost would be within the scheduling feature.
  • Performance management - reviews are user friendly and easy to navigate
  • "Conversations" allow for real-time - feedback among supervisors, staff and peers
Dayforce enables us to be compliant with ACA, 1095cs and EEO-1 reporting. It also automates and helps us with enforcing our overtime policies and healthcare eligibility. Workflows, reviewers and approvers ensures that we have the correct oversight and approval we need when someone submits changes to records and positions within our organization.
With Ceridian Dayforce's single application, it allows for all data to be integrated all at once on a single platform. No more signing into one software and then into another on a single employee. This has made our HCM more efficient and user friendly, for both administration, managers and staff.
For the traditional workplace, this system would work extremely well. Our industry has its challenges since we employ a majority of part-time staff that work in multiple locations, positions, and departments. However, Ceridian and our company have managed to adapt the software to meet our needs sufficiently and is still evolving.

Using Ceridian Dayforce

Our entire workforce uses Ceridian Dayforce. Full time, part time, etc.
10 - I'm not sure I understand this question, but the HR dept and Finance dept staff are in-house and help our staff as needed in using Dayforce.
  • Single platform
  • Always updating and improving
  • Great support
  • Conversations in Talent Mgmt is a great "real time" way to provide feedback from supervisors to staff, peer to peer, etc
  • We are still learning and adding to our knowledge on all the possibilities we can utilize Dayforce. I think with more time in using Dayforce, we will utilize more capabilities within the software.
We are only a year in with going Live with Dayforce and are happy with Ceridian.

Evaluating Ceridian Dayforce HCM and Competitors

Yes - We went from Ultimate software to Ceridian. We chose Ceridian for their scheduling feature in Time and Attendance and also because it was a single platform.

  • Talent Management - reviews, conversations
  • Reports - difficult to pull data that I need but this may be my lack of knowledge with report writing. However, Ceridian has been making improvements on this.
