Overall Satisfaction with Ceridian Dayforce
We use the HR functionality but not all modules currently. We may adapt some later. It is used across our whole US organization. We use the Payroll module also to pay our employees. This includes using Tax Services and Payment Solutions. We are not using the WFM currently but may in the future.
- Dayforce is quite an intuitive system. We find that it cuts down on paperwork due to the Self Service features. It helped enormously during Open Enrollment.
- Ceridian keeps their systems up to date. They are always sending me emails for hot-fixes to address problems that were brought up by the user community.
- I am especially please on the compliance side. They keep the system up to date.
- Reporting is lacking somewhat. The canned reports aren't as helpful as they should be. You are constantly making additions and changes to their reports to fit your needs.
- It takes less time for Payroll and HR due to the Self Service features.
- It takes less time to do payroll each pay period. This frees up time to do other things.
We administer our own policies as far as overtime but do use the Dayforce system for Benefit eligibility. We don't have a union. Ceridian keeps Dayforce up to date for State withholdings so we don't have to worry about that. I have access to the Tax Service and send them updates for Unemployment rate changes. That is the only manual thing I would have to do.
I don't have much to say about hiring and scheduling because we currently don't use the WFM module. We will, however, use the Compensation module late this year for merit increases. We do, however, create Headcount reporting with the Dayforce system so that does have some effect on perhaps hiring.
I have multiple duties besides Payroll. I work with HR closely and have some benefits knowledge. I like the integration that Dayforce affords. I don't have much experience with other solutions that integrate third-party modules.
