Overall Satisfaction with Ceridian Dayforce

We currently use this across the whole organization. It was not implemented well and we have been struggling to use it for 3 years.
  • None
  • Customer service. They only utilize a ticketing system and it is very difficult to speak to anyone. I often put in my comments to not answer via the ticket system and to have someone actually call me. That seems to happen after hours a lot.
  • They are trying to upgrade the Silverlight pages, however, development seems rushed and I don't feel like things are fully tested before they are pushed out.
  • Too many upgrades that require full testing again.
  • We have had a lot of issues with tax services. Our payroll manager has had to tell payroll services what to do to get amended returns.
  • With the new upgrade, the workflows for pay changes don't work as well. If you reject the workflow, it now leaves it in the system. If you correct something the manager may have incorrect, it now creates two entries in the system. Very buggy and not tested well.
None of this is working for us.
It hasn't. Managers find it hard to use.
If they worked well, the product would be great, however they don't. Too many bugs.
We are struggling with Ceridian and looking at other alternatives. Implementation didn't go well (felt very rushed to get it signed off), little communication with our rep. Not a very positive experience for us.

Using Ceridian Dayforce

650 - Employees, managers/supervisors, HR managers, Corporate HR (administrators)
Ceridian has been pretty unresponsive to us. I don't feel like they want our business. We pay a lot for the product but aren't getting the functionality that we need. We are evaluating other products and will most likely switch to a company that will give us a dedicated customer service rep and offers a client support manager that will meet with us at least quarterly (more if we wanted it) to offer training on things we are struggling with or to educate us on new features.

Ceridian Dayforce Support

Reps don't want to call you. They put everything in the ticket and you can't always see comments without logging into the support portal. If you don't have time to log in, they close out the ticket without resolving the problem. I've also gotten different and conflicting information when I put in tickets for the same issue.
ProsCons
None
Slow Resolution
Poor followup
Less knowledgeable
Problems left unsolved
Not kept informed
Escalation required
Difficult to get immediate help
Need to explain problems multiple times
Support doesn't seem to care
Slow Initial Response
Yes - No. We are self-insured on our medical and don't allow employees to cover a spouse if they are offered coverage elsewhere. We had an issue with a spouse who had lost coverage under their plan, however, when they did the life event enrollment, it won't allow the employee to add the spouse because they had originally answered the question "do you have access to other coverage" as yes during open enrollment. I was told we shouldn't ask that question.
Kricket is amazing. I wish she could be our main rep. I can't remember the tickets that I have placed where she has answered, but if she is unsure of something, she lets me know and will find the answer.

Using Ceridian Dayforce

So many things don't work and so many of our processes are manual.
ProsCons
Technical support not required
Do not like to use
Unnecessarily complex
Difficult to use
Not well integrated
Inconsistent
Cumbersome
Feel nervous using
  • We have a lot of issues with our system.
  • Retro pay: as far as we know, all of it has to be calculated manually.
  • Report writing leaves a lot to be desired. Find it very difficult to get the information I want without having to submit a case and we have to pay for what seems like a basic report.
Yes - Okay. Employees cannot enter vacation requests the same day they are taking it. They also can't get a full earnings statement to show to lenders (they have to log in to a computer to get that).
