High potential if implemented properly
Overall Satisfaction with Ceridian Dayforce
We adopted Ceridian Dayforce to use as a central go-to for time-card punches, personal time-off submissions, benefits, earnings statements, etc. Trying to find one central software solution for all things employee and HR-related was key. This had high hopes.
Pros
- Earning statements
- W2 forms
- Submit time off requests
Cons
- From the employee's view, time card punching is very unclear; hard to tell what was submitted or punched and see any hour totals.
- There needs to be space for benefit details; currently, we're still using an old system that was to sunset for all our benefits information.
- Messaging is constantly erring. I'll get "2nd notification" messages when I never received a "1st". I'll also get message notifications, and find nothing at all has been received.
- I think it saved money overall as it was attached to properties we acquired.
- However, the functionality from the employee standpoint has been negative.
I think it allows for all these things as long as it is set up correctly. Currently, one employee's time card shows their schedule as being Wed-Sun which is not true at all, but rather should have been Mon-Fri all along. This seems as if it cannot be fixed.
If it was implemented properly it sounds like it could help, but never has been here.
TimeForce was our previous system and worked very well from the employee and manager standpoints.
