Overall Satisfaction with Ceridian Dayforce

We've used Ceridian Dayforce for the last 5 years. We use both the Workforce Management and Payroll modules to process our hourly (weekly frequency) and salaried (semimonthly frequency) employees. Upon implementing the system, our processes are now more automated than before. This was important to us as we have a separate HCM system, we were looking to find a system that could interact well with it.
  • Interface well with Oracle HCM
  • Constant updates and upgrades are regularly roll out to clients
  • User friendly system
  • Support system is not the greatest. Tickets take a long time to be resolved. Most have been outsourced to outside countries.
  • Entitlement module is very difficult to setup and modified.
  • Increase in efficiency in payroll processes.
  • No more manual interface runs between HCM and Dayforce.
  • Empowering employees to take control of their data via self service module.
Payroll taxes are now processed based on employees' work and residence states, which is calculated by Dayforce within the system. No more manual review needed, as in the past. This is a major improvement for us.
The real time information is a plus, as opposed to the legacy system we had where employees couldn't comprehend what their PTO balances were at any given time.
It is always easier to have all modules be in one system. We do see complications, on occasion, as our HCM is separate from Dayforce. Hopefully, one day, we could combine all into one.

If a company doesn't have any complex policies, Ceridian Dayforce would work well. We found Dayforce cannot accommodate our labor costing needs. Though they have the module, but it's not allowing to refine it further. It is crucial to provide the implementation consultants all the info they need to set up the system from the get go.

Using Ceridian Dayforce

2000 - we're a manufacturing company that manufacture switch gear.
2000 - manufacture employees, engineers, and office employees
  • self service for employees
  • time and attendance system
  • payroll system
  • Dayforce Wallet
  • labor costing !!
we can't go through another implementation at this time, so we'll be sticking w/ Dayforce for a while longer.

Evaluating Ceridian Dayforce HCM and Competitors

Yes - we used Ceridian HPW which was close to getting unsupported so we had to switch to their newer system.

we use Oracle for our HCM and it's important for Dayforce to be interfaced, back and forth with it.
we did a pretty good job in our selection. i don't think we'd be doing it any different.

Yes - we usually found this out upon opening a ticket due to an issue and later would be told it's a bug. but we don't usually get to know when it'd be resolved.
