Overall Satisfaction with Ceridian Dayforce
Payroll - Making pay easy. From the HRIS visibility to Timesheet integration in Pay Run Management, it is easy to see where and why people are being paid the way they are.
Pros
- I love that everything is integrated within Dayforce - Payroll, Timesheets, HRIS, Reporting, and Recruiting... there are so many tasks in one place.
- In addition, when you update something, you don't need to go to a separate system to recalculate since it's all there. I'm quite fond of how Payroll works for me.
- Versatility of reporting
Cons
- Sometimes it can be difficult to find where something is stored so that you can update something on the setup.
- Reporting has gotten so much better, but another example is a struggle is trying to add a field to an existing report, particularly ones from Payroll or Timesheets.
- The visibility of built-in reports within the Payroll module has definitely made us more productive.
- Integrated technologies means that we can go to one login per day instead of multiple that don't talk to eachother.
I love that the setups are virtually one and done - you only need to think about it if there's a policy change at the governmental or company level. My understanding of the tax engine is that it is pretty powerful and incredibly accurate. It's not something I tend to need to worry about. (Setting up the jurisdictions, however...)
It 100% makes everything easier to have one system that controls anything you'd need for a company. There are probably several aspects/products that my company doesn't use. It seems like Ceridian is eventually going to tackle everything :)
In past systems, including ones that Ceridian offered themselves, I always hated exporting data from a timesheet system to import into a payroll system and then exporting again from that payroll system to a payment system to commit. You have scattered reports in each system that don't provide a clear view of your employees and their work habits. It's a mess and one which I felt could easily lend to fraudulent activity or mistakes due to human error, both of which I saw occasions of under the separated systems. With Ceridian Dayforce, it's just easy...
