Overall Satisfaction with Changepoint

We use Changepoint for project financials, time and expense reporting. We have 6000 employees and have Changepoint integrated to Salesforce for deal tracking and opportunity closure to project initiation.
  • When Changepoint was created, it was a good comprehensive tool. It has not aged well
  • The user interface is clunky, not intuitive and confusing. Memorization is the only way to learn the tools as the clues on the screen are not helpful. Trial and error is a common step in learning how to enter time and expenses.
  • There is no mobile app nor a mobile-optimized experience.
  • The data model and reporting process is extremely confusing.
  • Since we put it in, we have grown, so the return is from using a product that has been paid for and the cost to switch is prohibitive.
  • The system takes a large team of operators to manage data changes because the UI is so confusing. So the human cost of operating is higher than we would like.
  • We needed to rewrite APIs that support the system so that we could easily integrate with our financial and CRM systems. This also cost extra manpower and makes it hard to read and write to the system.
Financial Force - in 2016, was not suitable for our business.
Open Air - in 2016, was not mobile and had not been managed well after the acquisition.
We needed to create a custom time entry interface to make it easy for users to add time each week. Managers who approve time also have a custom UI so that we could reduce time entry errors and streamline the approval process.
