Overall Satisfaction with Chrome Remote Desktop

This is utilized by members of the IT department to have an alternative way to access their PCs when out of the office (and just in case the RDS server has issues and they are remote). As we have Chromebooks, this is a logical tool to choose to access the machines.
  • Easy set-up on target machines.
  • Runs on a Chromebook with minimal fuss.
  • Occasionally slow to move around (when in full screen), that I cant see if its a latency issue or a dodgy update.
  • Lacks file transfer options.
  • Its free, so no investment costs!
It's a free client-less solution that is simple to use. It does require Chrome installed and the agent installed to make it work.
Its forum based, and mainly from other users rather than a call to Google.

Do you think Chrome Remote Desktop delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Chrome Remote Desktop's feature set?

Yes

Did Chrome Remote Desktop live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Chrome Remote Desktop go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Chrome Remote Desktop again?

Yes

It's great as a home connection tool, or as backup access for users that need an alternative to terminal services. If you have users with Chromebooks, it was traditionally the only realistic option, but with the Play store, this doesn't hold as true.
