Overall Satisfaction with Chrome River EXPENSE

Chrome River EXPENSE replaced our paper expense report system in 2013. We utilize it throughout our entire organization on the Platinum platform but are migrating to Chrome River Mercury platform of EXPENSE in the next few months. We have a range of users, with some preparing one expense report per year to many that prepare monthly reports with multiple expense items.

The application is intuitive for both users and reviewers. In addition, Chrome River EXPENSE offers a Walkthrough function that makes it very easy for users to learn the system. The system seems designed to keep pace with current technology trends, such as drag and drop, OCR, importing receipts through cellphones.
Some other products on the market didn't meet our need for a pre-approval process to initiate travel requests. One of the new features of Chrome River EXPENSE on the Mercury platform is the associate of a receipt with a single expense item, greatly improving the experience of both the user and the approver. A great time saver.
At times, the Help Desk has been slow to respond, or requests would get lost. There could be a lot of back forth of emails with significant time gaps in between correspondence. This can be frustrating at times, as you lose momentum on getting a problem resolved or an enhancement implemented. Recently, Chrome River has moved away from email help desk requests to an online experience.
Chrome River EXPENSE has recently stepped up their game on technology, rolling out the Mercury platform. This version of CR will help improve our user experience, as well as reduce the time that managers spend approving expense reports. The Snap app and OCR technology will drive efficiency for our users and superusers of EXPENSE.
