Overall Satisfaction with Cisco 4000 Series Integrated Services Routers (ISR 4000)

Cisco 4000 series is a very robust platform. We have multiple remote offices in different regions of the United States and internationally. We use Cisco 4000 series routers as WAN routers in all our remote locations. 4000 Series routers support SD-WAN technology. We have started using SD-WAN in some locations and are planning to use it in multiple other locations soon. I have seen only once incident in the past few years where it failed because of a known Cisco bug. We contacted Cisco tech and got it fixed very quickly. Ever since then it has been working smoothly.
  • SD-WAN.
  • Handles heavy traffic without any issue.
  • Robust platform.
  • Very good fit for WAN edge router.
  • Recall the affected devices without waiting for customers to complain about it.
  • We've experienced an excellent ROI.
  • Haven't seen any issues except on a known bug related to clock sync.
  • Cisco 1000 Series Integrated Services Routers (ISR 1000) and Cisco 800 Series Industrial ISR (IR 800)
We were planning to replace our old 800 Series routers as we were expanding the business and we opened a few more offices. My manager had worked at Cisco for years, and when he joined the company, he had already evaluated different platforms for branch routers and he recommended the 4000 series routers from personal experience. I did read some research and followed his suggestions and haven't looked back!
Cisco 800 Series Industrial ISR (IR 800), Cisco Catalyst 3850 Series Switches
Cisco 4000 Series routers are well suited for WAN edge router in many organizations. It does the job well compared to other available options. Cisco 1000 series ISRs are also a good option for branch offices, but for us, the 4000 series is better. Specifically with SD-WAN and high-performance standards
