Overall Satisfaction with Cisco Catalyst 9200 Series Switches

Well, this family of switches is the "least expensive" of Cisco's Catalyst series. The truth is that it perfectly fulfills the functions for which it has been designed. As an access switch, it is perfect for the implementation of our customers' networks. These access switches serve us to connect the end devices in our networks. They have everything necessary to work since the versions that include PoE make it quite easy to connect Access points or IP phones.
  • End Device Connection
  • CLI Management
  • Switching capacity and visibility of events in the logs
  • vlan management
  • I can't find any point where this family of switches needs improvement.
  • in case of needing higher performance or specific characteristics, the superior families such as the 9300 or 9400 can be used
  • We are a company that sells Cisco devices, so any project that includes this family of Switches has a positive impact on our finances.
  • This family of switches is quite reliable and efficient so we don't have to worry about any problems after we have implemented these devices with any customer.
For our customers, the implementation of this family of switches in conjunction with DNA Center has been very useful. Because of the analytics, it provides and, above all, the automation in the configurations make the work of network administrators much easier. In this way, it is not necessary to configure each switch one by one using the console.
We haven't really explored much of the benefits that SD-Access offers with this family of switches. Our clients have preferred a slightly more traditional scheme, thus being the administration and monitoring with DNA Center the preferred ones.
I have always found Cisco devices to be more reliable than other brands. In this case, in my experience, I have noticed that some models of HP switches fall short against a catalyst. Some are even more complex to configure. I also consider that a key point that plays in cisco's favor is the quality that its support team offers.

Yes

Are you happy with Cisco Catalyst 9200 Series Switches's feature set?

Yes

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Cisco Catalyst 9200 Series Switches go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Cisco Catalyst 9200 Series Switches again?

Yes

I recommend it because it perfectly meets the needs of an access layer in almost any LAN network. Administration and configuration are quite simple and even more so if DNA Center is used. Perhaps one point against these switches is the delivery times by the manufacturer. But that is an issue that is affecting various industries globally due to other circumstances.
