Overall Satisfaction with Cisco Catalyst 9200 Series Switches
- Catalyst 9200 Series
At headquarters in our city, we deployed the following Cisco Catalyst 9200 Series Switches, models with 24 and 48 POE ports, C9200-24P, and C9200-48P. These switches are replacing the older 2960S models that are at end of life. These are switches that are classified in our access and distribution topology. The Cisco Catalyst 9200 Series Switches is connected to the Cisco Catalyst 3850 Core Switch. We have models with POE capability to power telephone handsets and access points that are also from Cisco.
- 24 and 48 port manageable models with high capacity and performance.
- Layer 3 routing with EIGRP, OSPF, ISIS, RIP, and static routing protocols.
- Internal redundant power supply and fans.
- Integrates with Cisco ISE and DNA.
- It is not suitable for smaller scenarios as it has a higher price.
- Smartnet 24x7 is much more expensive than Smartnet 8x5.
- More robust hardware upgrade with better performance and durability for more than 10 years.
- Warranty and support during business hours on weekdays.
- Improved logical security.
Virtualization integration features have not been enabled on these models. These switches are stacked when there is more than one unit in the rack and linked to the main rack. These switches have power-saving features.
Management is performed through Cisco DNA software. We keep control of all units installed in various locations. The main feature is the ease of updating new firmware versions, implementing network and security configurations at the same time for everyone, which saves time for the networking team.
