Overall Satisfaction with Cisco Catalyst Switches

  • Catalyst 2960 X/XR Series
  • Catalyst 2960-L Series
  • Catalyst 3650 Series
Cisco Catalyst Switches are used in access LAN (layer 2) in all our branches. The switches are very stable. We are using them in stack and connect to Cisco ISE. The switches have a lot of security features. For our organization, what is really important is the Enhanced Limited Lifetime Warranty (E-LLW) for Cisco switches.
  • Work stability
  • They support PoE and PoE+
  • Security features
  • They are easy to manage
  • The ability to route packets
  • They are quite expensive
In our organization, time-saving automation for Cisco Catalyst is possible with our system network management. The system can monitor and manage all the switches with icmp, snmp and ssh credentials. We see the topology of network devices, alarms, status ports, and links. Next feature for automation are scripts to send to change configuration on multiple switches and multiple ports.
Advanced customization and manageability is important and is possible with Cisco switches and monitoring system. We can remote manage every feature on multiple devices without necessarily logging in every time. The next important option is to use Cisco switches with Cisco ISE to network access policy 802.1x in our organization. And support TACACS for authorization, authentication, and accounting.
Cisco Switches stacks up because it is easy to deploy, configure and manage. It is stable and booting is quite fast. Cisco provides a set of up to eight stacking capable switches. Cisco Catalyst switches are the best network device that we can use in our company. The support with Cisco TAC team is the best.
Typical scenarios - connect switches standalone or in a stack via trunks for network to distribution layer or core layer. This scenario is easy to manage, upgrade and maintenance for administrators. Every switch supports PoE and with voice VLAN one port is connected to an IP phone and computer. Most switches are 48 port.
