Overall Satisfaction with Cisco Catalyst Switches

  • Catalyst 9200 Series
  • Catalyst 9300 Series
  • Catalyst 9500 Series
Cisco Catalyst Switches are being used in our organization as Core/Distribution/Access layers on our Campus LAN. It is very easy to set up with the virtual StackWise and regular stacking. Very straightforward with its IOS upgrade and has lots of features included especially with the Network Advantage license. I recommend using these switches in your Campus LAN and also in your Data Center.
  • Campus LAN switches, access switches
  • Data center switches
  • DMZ switches and Edge switches
  • Additional routing features
  • Broad features on their licenses
  • IOS software upgrade
  • Efficient and Network availability
  • Scalability
  • Flexibility of installation
Yes, it does have customization features but our organization is not using it. We prefer the basic feature of the Cisco Catalyst switches.
Cisco Catalyst switches stack up against them because of their simplicity of using IOS-XE syntax.

Do you think Cisco Catalyst Switches delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Cisco Catalyst Switches's feature set?

Yes

Did Cisco Catalyst Switches live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Cisco Catalyst Switches go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Cisco Catalyst Switches again?

Yes

Cisco Catalyst switches are well suited in the Campus LAN because it is easy to set up in an organization that mainly uses Access switches on their network. The StackWise feature of it is very useful and it is also very scalable. It is less appropriate I think on Data center switches because I prefer the powerful Nexus Switches for the Datacenter segment.
