Overall Satisfaction with Cisco Headsets
This is an approved headset for use by our team members. We are frequently on conference calls, having a distributed team. Conference calls are our form of collaboration. The headset allows for hands-free communication and allows me to get up and walk around rather than be confined to a seated position at my desk all day. The headset offers crisp and clear communication and allows my peers to hear what I am saying without the need to repeat things 2 or 3 times. Or having to type what I said into an online chat.

Well, this was pretty easy to set up and use. It was easy to pair and I was up and running in a matter of minutes after the headset went through the initial charging. No learning curve really. Intuitive and easy to use from the get-go. I recommend this headset to all of my peers at work.
This device, my Cisco 562 headset allows me to hear clearly and allows others to hear me clearly. I've worked from my home office for 9 years now so COVID wasn't a big change for me per se. But it was evident when the audio quality of other callers dropped dramatically because they had inferior headsets or no headset at home. I've recommended this headset to my peers and those that get this are impressed and each headset deployed improves our call quality immensely. And the long battery life allows all team members to remain for the duration of the call w/o having to call back in with another device. These headsets keep us productive.
I do use the mobile app for my headset. I have the iOS version and am happy with the ease of use and my ability to control my headset. Again, this adds to the freedom from my desk as I don't have to rely on the desktop app. At first, I didn't think I needed the app on my phone but I quickly realized how convenient it was to have and use when near but away from my desk. I can only speak for myself and can not state what percentage of the team uses the mobile app. I am happy with it and it's a great benefit to have. We have really gotten used to having apps for mobile devices to replace various other things and this is no exception.
The team evaluated several other headsets using a scorecard approach. All did well but we felt like the Cisco had the best overall sound quality and battery life. The others were close competitors, but the mobile app also helped push the Cisco product over the top. Also, the company has a good relationship with Cisco so that helps with our pricing.
