They are used to provide noise cancellation and high-quality voice communications while connected via blue tooth to computers or mobile devices. Many users will primarily use them while in very noisy environments.

The administration portal quickly recognizes users that have connected their Cisco Headset 700 Series to their devices running Webex, identifying the owner of the headset and how often they utilize it with their devices. You can easily see when it is online and what version of firmware it is running.
As noted previously, the Cisco Headset 700 Series has fantastic noise cancellation capabilities for all parties and provides very clear, high-quality audio for the remote parties as well as the person using the headset.
No, I wasn't aware that there was a mobile app available.
I've used Plantronics, Bose, and Sony noise-canceling headphones and they have all had superior noise cancellation for listening to music. However, every one of them - including the Plantronics - would amplify external sounds (e.g. Servers, children, traffic) to be louder than my own voice, even from across my house.
