Overall Satisfaction with Cisco Intersight

Our IT department uses Cisco Intersight to manage and monitor multiple Cisco UCS installations across multiple data centers. It allows us to quickly see the health and configuration status of our computer infrastructure in one place.
  • Accessible from anywhere online.
  • Cisco is always adding new functionality.
  • Easy to learn and use on a daily basis.
  • Requires internet connectivity, which may not be an option for some IT environments.
  • Basic Intersight access is free to all Cisco customers.
  • You can decide what level of functionality fits your needs and budget.
Intersight does not require any on-prem infrastructure deployment. No need to worry about patching or updates to any appliances or software. Other solutions must constantly be deployed and maintained by IT staff.
Intersight is a great option for Cisco customers and has tight integration for all UCS products. It can't do everything, but Cisco is actively adding capabilities all the time.

Yes

Did Cisco Intersight Infrastructure Service live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Cisco Intersight Infrastructure Service go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Cisco Intersight Infrastructure Service again?

Yes

We are able to see the health and performance of our entire environment in one place. Cisco also notifies our IT staff of bugs and updates proactively, saving time and guesswork.
Intersight is constantly evolving over the past few years, and Cisco continues to make the platform more useful. The only caveat is that Intersight requires connectivity to the internet, either directly or via a proxy appliance. If your organization's security posture does not allow connectivity, there is no locally deployable alternative option.
