Overall Satisfaction with Cisco IP Phone 7800 Series

We as a company have eliminated desk-based phones except in critical roles so this is the phone that we deploy out there to users that need that phone to operate outside of their "soft" based clients and we use it for dialing out to others' PSTN and cell phones. It's used across the whole org but only by those deemed as needed.
  • Crystal clear calls.
  • Saving favorites for easy dialing access.
  • Sleek design that looks good on a desk.
  • Easy to use interface for users.
  • Volume on ringer was a little too quiet at the loudest setting.
  • Little need for support once deployed, works as expected.
  • Training ease of use as its pretty straightforward so we have not had to coach users too much.
This is more of a desk phone but we have used it in conference rooms that are smaller as it is cheaper than a Trio and sounds just as good. Honestly would not work in the bigger rooms that the Trio does but this has saved us a bunch of money in the huddle rooms.
Because anything that I use through Cisco is guaranteed to have a few things that come with it.

  1. High quality that rarely needs support or maintenance, and
  2. If you end up needing support they have some of the best-in-class support people that provide a great experience and are deeply knowledgeable about that product.

Would you buy Cisco IP Phone 7800 Series again?

Yes

In the office it's great! But if you wanted to use it in a high traffic or busy/noisy area then it might be hard to hear. But for most business operations that take place in the normal office type of environment it is a work horse of a phone, easy to manage on the back end for administrators and gets the job done.
