Overall Satisfaction with Cisco IP Phone 7800 Series

The phones are being used to provide our managed service provider telephony solutions to SME and enterprise customers, as well as on premise deployments of PBX systems to customer we managed. We would also sell them as one time purchases for customers not looking for any managed services. They general fulfill any IP phone requirement. The only draw back is all models don't have gigabit switches integrated.
  • SIP call.
  • Backlit display.
  • Seamless deployments on CUCM.
  • Gigabit switches on all models.
  • Colour displays.
  • More useful web interface that shows what on the phone or provide extended options (CUCM Version).
  • Energy savings.
  • Standardise deployment.
  • Ease management for CUCM.
8800 series is superior. The 3900 and 6800 does feel as well built as the 780p. The Yealink and Mitel phones build quality doesn't feel as good either.

Training for the phone use normally is 5 to 10 mins.
Stand IP phone for general users who will not abuse the phone. Not suited for locations where the device maybe abused. Not all model have gigabit switches so please ensure you have the customer requirement well document when choosing the model for them. Also do not that the SKU difference between the multiplatform and normal CUCM versions.
