Cisco IP Phone 8800 Series

Overall Satisfaction with Cisco IP Phone 8800 Series

We have been using Cisco [IP Phone 8000 (8831) Series] conference phones for more than five years now; it is being used in all the conference rooms in the organization. So almost all the employees have used it. The device has a really solid build quality, and it has an astounding voice quality. The volume goes really high if required, and the two external mics provided can help capture the voice of all the members, even in a fairly large conference room. Coming to the hardware, the device has external controls, with all the buttons and screens on a remote. There is also an option to connect up to two external mics to capture audio in large rooms. The device can be powered using PoE or an external power adaptor.

  • It works properly
  • Team meetings have been easier with it
Connecting with remote teams has been easier, and the quality is really amazing, thanks to the Cisco 8831 conference phones. We have used the device extensively and been on calls for more than nine hours a day; the device just works flawlessly without any issues.
Cisco support has always been good, be it the support from TAC or the huge community, which makes troubleshooting issues easy.

Would you buy Cisco IP Phones again?

Yes

This phone is a conference phone, and it is suitable for small to medium-sized conference/meeting rooms. It does not have a phone receiver, so all calls can only be attended on the speaker to be heard by everyone. The standalone phone has decent volume, and the inbuilt mics are sensitive, so in a small meeting room, it works perfectly. Although you could add two more wired mics to increase its range, the wired mics add more clutter to the desk.
