Cisco IP Phone 8800 Series
Overall Satisfaction with Cisco IP Phone 8800 Series
We have been using Cisco [IP Phone 8000 (8831) Series] conference phones for more than five years now; it is being used in all the conference rooms in the organization. So almost all the employees have used it. The device has a really solid build quality, and it has an astounding voice quality. The volume goes really high if required, and the two external mics provided can help capture the voice of all the members, even in a fairly large conference room. Coming to the hardware, the device has external controls, with all the buttons and screens on a remote. There is also an option to connect up to two external mics to capture audio in large rooms. The device can be powered using PoE or an external power adaptor.
Pros
- Voice quality
- Accessories support
- PoE
- Daisy chain option
Cons
- Better display
- Heats up after long calls
- No option to mute speaker
- Had lots of bugs initially
- It works properly
- Team meetings have been easier with it
Connecting with remote teams has been easier, and the quality is really amazing, thanks to the Cisco 8831 conference phones. We have used the device extensively and been on calls for more than nine hours a day; the device just works flawlessly without any issues.
