Overall Satisfaction with Cisco Jabber

Cisco Jabber is being used across all the departments in my organization for audio conferencing purposes. Given the new work-from-home culture, it's very important we get the best audio quality while connecting for a call, and Cisco Jabber ensures that quality. Also, end-to-end encryption provides an added feature to ensure safety.
  • It is helpful to know the status of fellow team members, to be able to connect.
  • It can be accessed through a laptop (primary device). Therefore, there is no need to use a secondary device, like a phone.
  • Cisco Jabber ensures that the quality of the audio is up to the mark, which is very necessary for effective workplace communication.
  • Customer service - one time, I tried reaching out to customer service to resolve a technical issue. I waited for a half-hour and still didn't get connected to anyone.
  • Auto-login/logout - many times, I am automatically logged out of Cisco Jabber, and that is irritating. Unlike Skype for business, it doesn't have an auto-login feature.
  • Narrow range of emoticons.

Our organization uses both Skype for Business and Cisco Jabber. For messaging services, we prefer Skype for Business, but the audio quality gets deteriorated. Therefore, for audio conferencing, we use Cisco Jabber. One main feature that differs is the auto-login, which is only available in Skype for Business. However, the cost is very reasonable for Cisco Jabber.

Cisco Jabber is very well suited for audio conferencing connectivity and scheduling calls. The voice quality is up to the mark, and voicemail is an added feature. I have not explored the video call feature yet.
