Overall Satisfaction with Webex App

Cisco Jabber is an instant messaging, voice messaging, and video call conference platform that my company used to use when communicating before we switched to Zoom and Slack. It was purposefully used to increase communication in our completely remote business for internal purposes (rather than using it externally with clients and partners).
  • User interface is nice
  • Support material was good
  • Cisco is reliable and not overwhelmed like Zoom
  • It's not a power player among the giants and its felt
  • Configuration can at times be difficult
  • Recognition and use have a bit of a learning curve because it isn't as common of a platform
  • When we used it there was positive ROI because of fast access to remote employees
  • We don't use it anymore because it didn't fulfill our needs on an enterprise level
  • We positively increased the speed of communication with my team members but this can be done with most software of this nature.
Webex App was used by 3 departments and about 100 people in total. We are looking at expanding this outward to include other departments and focus on a company-wide rollout. It's worked well for all 3 departments which is why we are looking to add more users to the platform.
Zoom and Slack are the go-to platforms in our industry. People just know how to use them when they come into our company because they've been exposed to market share before. That wasn't the case with Cisco Jabber. It felt like a rarity. I keep saying it's a smaller player among giants.

It's fine. It works and it's fine. If I had to go back to it again, I would be okay. I can communicate with my team and others around our company without any issues. I can quickly share my screen or log into a call or message someone within a few keystrokes.

Cisco Hybrid Work

  • Working from anywhere (e.g., coffee shop, airport)
  • Working from an office or other company space
  • Working from home
The company ensured that everyone within our 3 departments that are using the platform understood what was necessary from a foundational level in order to use the platform effectively. Their job communications depended on their knowledge and their ability to navigate the system. Without it, we wouldn't be able to be productive in the hybrid work situation.
It all happened so quickly that we had to rush out enablement and trainings. The team had to learn how to use the system almost like trial by fire and learn on the job because of the landscape we were in. It's become easier now that we've had experience and time using it.
Cisco's hybrid work solutions have has increase our team's ability to communicate better and across the globe. No longer do we need to fly people in but instead save money from them being remote while the individuals close to the office can attend a meeting in person when necessary or feel like it.
We are faster, more productive, and have the ability to communicate on our own time making the workforce happier. Individuals have a sense of autonomy when they decide where they want to work. Cisco's hybrid work solutions made this possible and we absolutely love it. Far fewer resignations due to inflexible situations.
I mentioned in previous answers that we looked at other solutions like Zoom but Cisco Webex just worked for us. It was one of the original and it shows. They were able to adapt to the pandemic quickly and ensure the security of our calls without outsiders bombarding or "video bombing" during meetings when we needed focus.
  • Google Meet
Google Meet was awful. It felt like a bargain bin collaboration service after experiencing Cysco's Webex. Once you have all the features and functionality it's hard to go to a Dollar Store version of a collaboration tool. Very happy with what we ultimately went with at the end of the day.
